When you've fully integrated Allegrow with Apollo, every email contact you add to an Apollo sequence will be verified through the Safety Net before sending. Meaning you only reach out to the safest and most likely-to-engage contacts.
*(To make sure your entire team understand and are ready for how the Safety Net works, share and read our separate overview guide here).
First of all, to get set up, you’ll need both an Apollo and Allegrow account for the integration. It will also require an Apollo plan with Workflows (Professional or above), and some setup is required in Apollo as detailed below.
So, if you haven’t opened your Allegrow account, book a demo here.
**We advise building sequences in Apollo so the email step happens (if it's the first step) with a delay of 10 minutes after enrollment of a prospect. This prevents the situation where the first email could be sent before Allegrow can remove an invalid email.
Now, if you’re ready to integrate your Allegrow account with Apollo, follow the steps below:
Make sure you're logged in to the admin user of your Apollo.io account.
Log in to Allegrow, Go to Settings > Integrations > select Apollo > then click 'Connect Apollo':
3. Authorize Allegrow, connecting to your Apollo account by clicking ‘Authorize’:
4. In Apollo, create a workflow with the trigger "Contact added to sequence" (Sequence: "In Any Sequence"):
5. Add an Action to the workflow, and choose the 'Send Webhook':
6. Set the Method to 'POST.'
7. Return to Allegrow and click Step 2 to find the values for Webhook URL, Header Key and Value, and Body.
**Important: In the Body, you will need to replace {{contact.email}} with the Dynamic Variable selected from Apollo's menu
8. Once the required values are filled, click "Test connection." If everything has been done correctly, you should see a success notification in Apollo, and a 'Webhook verified' badge in Allegrow.
9. Finally, return to the Workflow in Apollo, and head to the Workflow Settings. Scroll down to 'Re-enrollment,' and change it to 'Every run.'
**This step is important, as this will ensure contacts are always checked, and unsafe contacts are always removed.
*Make sure your Apollo Admin is listed as the connected user. Otherwise, the integration may not provide the email Safety Net across all your users.
*The Integration will display all mailboxes within your Apollo instance and give you the option to enable the Safety Net for all your users performing outbound emailing.
Remember, the number of users that you can have the Safety Net live for is tied directly to your package allowance.
